HOW TO GET TO MACEDONIA
WELCOME TO MACEDONIA

By air: All international air arrivals enter through Alexander the Great -International Airport, located 10 km southeast of Skopje, or St Aposlte Poul –Airoport in Ohrid, connect Macedonia with several major European cities. Close regional airports in Belgrade, Sofia and Thessaloniki can also be used, as they are all within a few hours' drive from Macedonia.

By train: An international train, operating twice daily, connects Ljubljana, Slovenia and Thessaloniki, Greece by way of Macedonia. Stops include Tabanovce (the Macedonia-Serbia border crossing point), Kumanovo, Skopje, Veles, Gradsko, Negotino, Demir Kapija, and Gevgelija (Greek border crossing point), as well as a few small villages. An east-west railway to connect Bulgaria with Macedonia is at present under construction. You can use the connections from Vienna, Budapest, Ljubljana, Zagreb, Belgrade, Thessalonica or Athens. They arrive at Central Railway Station in Skopje (phone: +389 (2) 3164255) every day.

By bus: A number of bus lines connect Macedonia with all neighbouring countries and other European cities. Buses are frequent, and offer relatively inexpensive fares and professional service. If you chose to travel by bus, connections are available from the major cities in Europe (Brussels, Vienna, Malme, Sofia, Istanbul, Belgrade etc.). The international bus station (+389 (2) 2466313) is located in the centre of thecity, together with the Central Railway station. You can use the connections from Vienna, Budapest, Ljubljana, Zagreb, Belgrade, Thessalonica or Athens. They arrive at Central Railway Station in Skopje (phone: +389 (2) 3164255) every day.
ENTRY BY ROADS
From Albania
Through Blato border crossing point in Debar, or Kjafasan in Struga, or Sveti Naum in Ohrid. The first road leads to the city of Debar located in the southwest part of the county. The second roads leads to the town of Struga and the lake of Ohrid. Simalrly the third road comes out on the lake of Ohrid.
From Serbia
Through Tabanovce leading to the city of Kumanovo.
From Kosovo
Through Blace bording crossing point, which leads to Skopje, and through Jazince which leads to he city of Tetovo.
From Greece
Through Medzitlija leading to the city of Bitola.
Through Bogorodica leading to the city of Gevgelija.
