Chifte Bath, XV century
In the middle of the Skopje Bazaar, Isa Bay built the bath for the purposes of its legacies in Skopje, the Muslim secondary religious school and the dervish lodge. It belongs to the type of double baths (male and female part). This Amam was used at the same time by men and women and was consisted of two equal parts with separate entrances.

The Amam is built from stone, bricks and plaster. There are two small and several small domes placed on top of low drums which covered the rooms of the double baths. At the sideways parts from the bath there are the big dressing rooms of the bath. This architectural solution was possibly influenced by the conditions from the location as it's different from the standard buildings of double baths. The rich wall decoration of the interior of the bath it's mainly on the crossings under the domes in a shape of stalactites and rhombs. Special impression give the decorated niches as well as the relief decoration which is consisted of stylized flowers, which as frieze was going along the walls from the middle space as well as in the halvets(part of the bath).
Just like all other monumental constructions in Skopje, Cifte Amam has been damaged in the 1963 earthquake. In the past, many restorations were done to the building, which to a certain level destroyed its originality. Today the bath has a modern function where in an authentic interior it's entirely reconstruction finished in 2002, many exhibitions and contemporary installations are held.
